Take Control of Diabetes, Weight, and Lifelong Health

“This is a book that overdelivers. Author Jodi Velasquez shares years of hard-earned experience as a mother of a child with Type 1 diabetes, but what she offers goes far beyond disease management. It’s a practical, wide-ranging toolkit covering weight control, nutrition, parenting, organization, exercise, and how to care for yourself and those you love. The strength of this book lies in its clarity and usability. There are no quick fixes or overwhelming systems—just bite-sized, actionable insights that are easy to apply. Velasquez helps readers understand the patterns behind blood sugar, daily habits, and long-term health, empowering us to make informed, sustainable decisions that are easy to apply. What sets this book apart is its compassionate, grounded approach. It doesn’t try to ‘fix’ the reader—it informs, empowers, and equips them.
