High on a hill lives Doris—mighty in size and full of fire. But while the villagers keep their distance, assuming the worst, Doris is far from fierce. When she comes down with a cold and loses her fiery breath, the community finally sees her for who she really is. Told with warmth and whimsy, this picture book explores the value of looking beyond first impressions. Young readers will enjoy the playful rhymes and vibrant storytelling, while grown-ups will appreciate its gentle message about kindness and understanding.
