“Heidi Richards Mooney’s "The Expectant Author" is packed with truth-from-the-trenches, practical guidance for authors at every stage of the writing journey. From navigating doubts and uncertainties -- "Doubt is not a sign that you should stop. It is a sign that you care." -- to the ultimate dream-come-true triumph of publishing your book, "The Expectant Author" is a must-have resource for every aspiring author. Highly recommended!””

“I found The Expectant Author extremely motivational—not only as a future author, but also in tackling everyday life goals and challenges. Heidi Mooney challenged me to look deeply into my thought patterns and recognize the importance of reaching the finish line, staying committed, and completing the projects that have been sitting in waiting. This book inspired me in ways beyond writing and encouraged me to push forward with purpose and discipline. I’ve already recommended that my children and friends grab a copy. It’s truly a must-read.”

“I highly recommend The Expectant Author to aspiring authors who want a warm, practical, encouraging, and grounded path for developing and completing their book. The author understands why unfinished books don't get completed and knows how to guide you to completion, with the reader in mind. Comparing writing a book to bringing something new into the world makes the process feel more human and less overwhelming.”
