An excellent story written in excellent fashion
“I enjoyed every minute of this book. The characters are well developed, for the most part likable, and relatably human. The NYC scenes and lifestyle are captured in all of their glory and grit, and the relationships between family members are vivid and believable, sometimes to a scary degree. But mostly I enjoyed getting to love Rumi, the delightful and intelligent 10 year-old we’d all like to spend some quality time with.”

Twisty and thought-provoking
“Every time I thought I knew where this story was headed, it flipped on me. The tension builds slowly and then explodes. Cassie’s arc was my favorite, with so much strength, fear, and growth in one character. A smart and emotional read.”

Screenshot proof Felt like I was walking right along with the characters
“This book had me completely hooked. Sarah’s descent into a life tied to the mob was both heartbreaking and fascinating. The writing felt so real, like I was walking beside her the whole way. Cassie’s storyline added an entirely new layer of tension. This book is equal parts gritty crime thriller and emotional drama—and I loved every minute of it.”
